Lyceum whips Arellano to stay undefeated

Lyceum overpowered Arellano, 99-65, to remain undefeated in the NCAA Season 93 men’s basketball on Tuesday at Fioil Flying V Centre, San Juan.

CJ Perez posted 16 points, three rebounds and two assists to lead the Pirates. Jayce Marcelino added 13 points and six rebounds. Also, the balance distribution of the scoring totally enhanced Lyceum’s lopsided victory as MJ Ayaay had 13 points in cluding a 3-for-3 shooting outside the arc. Ayaay also had nine rebounds to compliment his scoring. Ralph Tansingco added 13 points and five rebounds.

Lyceum created a separation at the end of the third quarter with a 63-49 score. The Pirates made a wide separation in the fourth quarter when they posted a 99-64 lead. Lyceum’s record is unblemished at 4-0.

For the Arellano Chiefs, Zach Nichols scored 12 points while Kent Salado added 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

“We just caught them in a bad afternoon and we took advantage. The players were playing well and they’re up to the challenge,” coach Topex Robinson said.
