Djokovics drops in the ATP Rankings

Novak Djokovic is no longer part of the Big 4 in the tennis world after placing fifth in the ATP Rankings. Stanislas Wawrinka jumped into the fourth place to dislodge the former No. 1.

After a setback in the Wimbledon brought by an elbow injury, Djokovic announced he will be resting the entire season. Because Djokovic will miss a lot of games, it is expected that his ranking will further drop after the season.

Andy Murray continues to be on top despite not playing the Wimbledon’s semifinals. Rafael Nadal stays at No. 2 while Roger Federer ranked third. This is the era of tennis that the Djokovic, Nadal, Murray and Federer dominate, and they played against each other in the last six years.

Djokovic has won 12 Grand Slam titles. The Serbian had stayed at No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings for a total of 223 weeks.
